The Artic circle
An electric shock
A glass world
Ice cold knives
Diamonds glisten on the damp grass
An ice cube
A frozen wasteland
Thomas
How I wish
How I wish I was a pop star
Sitting on heaps of money
Standing in open spaces of a mansion
Singing to millions of people
Travelling around the world in style
Famous footballers for boyfriends
Face all over the news
A face on TV
How I wish I were a pop star
Someway, somehow
Rebecca
My family
My family are great
But my Mums always late
She's never on time but thats fine
My dad strokes the cat and he's really quite fat
My sister goes out and you can always
Hear her shout
As she can't find her shoes
Lucy
Stawberry
Sweet and Juicy
Treats to eat
Ruby red
All nice and sweet
Watery tastes
Blushing berries
Easy to eat like a cherry
Ready and waiting to be bought
Racing round my mind the yummy thought
Yes, strawberries to be eaten!
Lucy
Handbag
I'm brown with buckles and I smell of leather
I'm old and used a lot
Iv'e got thin handles too
How I love being carried around
By my owner to shops , towns, everywhere
I hold lots of things for her
Purse, lipstick and mirror
I feel lonely sometimes when she puts ne down
It's like she no longer needs me
Rachel
Storm
The bright lightening struck
The thunder rumbled loudly
The storm is beginning
Fences torn down vicously
Lives are in danger
The sea is rising
Will it ever end?
Lucy
The Storm
The storm
It rips and tears
It turns and twists and scares
Like a threatening wolf that bites
The storm

These are a few additional poems the children have written, in their own time. More will be posted, so watch this space!!
Hi Kids,
I think all the poems are brilliant because you have used very descriptive words and your creative minds. I think your teacher must have worked very hard and i'm loving supporting all of you and giving comments. I hope that you all continue your good work so everyone can see!!! I love reading your poems. You could all be poets one day you know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
